You don't want to get an open induction kit for a GT, that will loose you power due to not enough cold air flow in the engine bay, save up a little and get yourself a closed kit.
But if you want the induction noise and not worried about power loose then get the K&N Gen II kit, that comes with a heat shield and a larger cold air feed pipe.

With an open induction kit it depends entirely where in the engine bay the filter element is placed whether hot air is affecting it or not.
Most of the closed systems suffer from air starvation because they have not been designed properly.

My comments were directed at the K&N kit designed for the C2's, due to the where it is mounted you only really get warm air from the engine bay and only a small amount of forced air from a small feeder pipe that is supplied.
But I do agree with your comments, on one of my old cars (OPEL MANTA) I extended the air intake pipe and had the filter cone mounted infront of the radiator behind the nose grill. There it had plenty of cold air and the noise was amazing.

All Piperx I had on the rollers lost power.
BMC CDA is a filter and not an induction kit. You still need a proper ducting to make it an induction kit. In a lot of cases where the CDA was fitted people thought due to characteristics performance improved but actually got worse because of poorly designed ducting. Some goes for Piperx and some others.

If you want to use BMC then rather go for the DIA. To make it work CDA and DIA need proper induction piping. The convulated aluminium hose they delicer with either is only good for the bin.

ITG is the way to go, no design faults in their kit!
Have you tested them back to back with others?

Would not be possible, but is not necessary. And I think I am pretty safe to claim this after over 27 years of development work in the automotive industries.

But which kit from ITG will fit into C2? I've searched, but with no results.
What do you mean by:
"BMC CDA is a filter and not an induction kit. You still need a proper ducting to make it an induction kit. What do you recommend?

yes it would you just get all the kits then fit them one at a time to the same car and test it. then you say kit a gives you this much of a gain kit b looses you power etc. its a more than possible thing to do
Do you know how many kits this is? This is half a years salary.
@ voitto - I haven't had a good experience wit ITG. They had a few years in their literature faked graphs and in testing they could not live up to a number of other products.

I used the one for the peugeot 106, to be honest it was a bit too big for the available space, you`d probably have to move the battery. That`s why the other filters like k+n etc are more popular.
I see... What a pity, they do not make kits for C2 :/ I don't want to do any scuplture in my engine bay
