Soo today I went to college as usual. I was in the second period at just swapped the front wing of a Ford Mondeo and as I stood up I grabbed hold of the A-pillar near the bottom of the windscreen. Anyway I thought ouch!!! That hurt. Turns out some idoit shut the door!!! I pulled my hand out as a natural reaction and the whole of my thumb nail fell off. Blood everywhere. I was in hospital for 5 hours today. I now have no nail, an open fracture and 4 stitches in my nail bed! Now I cant work or anything. And I go on holiday on sunday!!! Gutterd!!! Oh well I hope it gets better soon 
Anyway else done anything like this?

Im on holiday now....and my little lad broke his arm last week, now he has to go in the sea with as bag on his arm....lol.

UPDATE: Thanks for the support everyone.
Anyway went back to hospital today to have a proper dressing done. And the have put a silver plate were my nail should be under my cuticul!!

broke the door strap of my c2 vts and the wind blew it shut trapping my finger and it split my nail in half but didnt fall off for a couple of weeks later still gt broused nail nw and cnt feel anthing on the tip of that finger bloody hurt i no that

Ouch unlucky, I once had my mates corsa close its door on my leg when i called it a pice of crap ended up with a double sided bruise on my shin and calf it bloody hurt
Lesson for the day. Keep all extremities away from slamming doors

i was once at work trying to bend a metal bracket n it gave and snapped crushing ym left thump exaclt the same resulting in a fracture to the end of my thumb and ripping the nail clean off, its more painful than anything i can think of, feel for ya mate. itll get better though.
